Context

En 2018, FIDAL’s IT Manager decided to establish a PMO to streamline and optimize the work of the 60 employees of the IT Department. Raphaël Rineau took over the management of FIDAL’s PMO.

His initial assessment of the reporting process was clear: using Excel was a time-consuming and unreliable method. Each project manager and application manager tracked their projects and time spent in their own Excel file. The IT Director was then responsible for consolidating this information into a single file with over 500 lines.

In this context, Raphaël agreed to take on the challenge on leading the PMO, but with one condition: the IT department should equip itself with a real tool for steering its activities.

Why Triskell?

Implementation process

Raphaël chose to have EASIS, a consulting firm specializing in organizational management, accompany him in the implementation of the Triskell EASIS solution.

Three months were enough, from the study of the processes to their modeling in the tool. At the same time, Raphaël was trained at Triskell to perfectly master the solution and independently support its adoption by the IT department team.

Fidal now has a unique tool to manage the portfolios of its IT department activities:

  • A project management portfolio (Build) & a service activities portfolio (Run) with consumption tracking
  • Engagement request management
  • Structured project review management using program/project/lot views.

Triskell is also integrated with the management control tool, which automatically retrieves consumption data via API.
